Decoration Regulations

Growing Season (Dates)

• Permitted Decorations: Only fresh or natural plants and flowers are allowed. Artificial decorations are not permitted as they hinder maintenance.

• Planting Area: Decorations and plantings must be confined within 18 inches in front of the memorial and within its width.

Non-Growing Season (Dates)

• Permitted Decorations: Artificial flowers and decorations are allowed in approved temporary vases, easels, or stands, within the planting area.

• Weather Considerations: Late fall and early winter are ideal for decorations, as harsh winter conditions can damage them.

• Annual Plants: Allowed directly in front of the memorial within the planting area. They must be regularly maintained.

• Perennial Plants: Permitted within the width of the memorial, not exceeding 18 inches from it.

• Natural-Cut Flowers: Allowed in approved vases (papier-mâché or temporary pin/cone type).

• Potted Plants: Permitted in pots up to 10 inches in diameter, within the planting area.

• Boxed Plants: Allowed in boxes up to 15 inches in length and 8 inches in width, within the planting area.

• Plot Holders' Responsibilities: Regular maintenance and trimming of plantings are required.

• General Prohibitions: Jars, bottles, styrofoam, crockery, statuary, rosaries, vigil lights, candles, permanent vases, and similar items are not allowed.

• Planting Restrictions: Bushes, evergreens, and large plantings are not permitted in single and double graves.

• Decoration Adherence: Avoid attaching decorations to memorials to prevent damage.

• Endowed Care: Provides general care for the grave/plot. Note that this does not include maintenance of private plantings or memorials.

• Memorialization: Only approved granite for monuments; bronze memorialization is allowed in designated sections.

• Mass Intentions and Special Masses: Daily Mass intentions and special Field Masses on Memorial Day and All Souls Day are offered.
