Lord God, whose days are without end and whose mercies beyond counting, keep us mindful that life is short and the hour of death unknown. Let your Spirit guide our days on earth in the ways of holiness and justice, that we may serve you in union with the whole Church, sure in faith, strong in hope, perfected in love. And when our earthly journey is ended, lead us rejoicing into your kingdom, where you live for ever and ever.

Saints of God, come to his/her aid!
Come to meet him/her, angels of the Lord!
Receive his/her soul and present him/her to
God the Most High.
May Christ, Who called you, take you to Himself;
may angels lead you to Abraham's side.
Receive his/her soul and present him/her to
God the Most High.
Give him/her eternal rest, O Lord,
and may Your light shine upon him/her forever.
Receive his/her soul and present him/her to
God the Most High.
Let us pray: We commend our brother/sister,
(Name) to you, Lord.
Now that he/she has passed from this life,
may he/she live on in Your presence.
In Your mercy and love, forgive whatever sins

weakness.

Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family, relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.
